Here are pics of my pristine 4-mintute Edison recorder with the original box. The body is nickel-plated brass and is yellowish in color. The rarely seen box says four minute on it. The box and recorder have matching serial numbers.

The 4-minute blank is a hard black wax and the box is orange and blue with the lid marked Shaved Blank.

Hope this helps with the questions above relating to color of the recorder and blank type.
