I find the lack of factual information in these articles...disturbing.

The Claremont Courier (Claremont, California) wrote an article about me in the early 1990’s and I was so careful to explain to the reporter the differences between ‘Phonograph’, ‘Graphophone’, ‘Gramophone’, and ‘Victrola’ — but of course, the reporter mangled it all anyway. Probably the biggest howler was her writing that I played her a recording by “Big Spider Beck”.

So above is an 1970 article about me at age 16 when I was a Sophomore attending Anderson High School located in scenic Anderson, IN. The photo below is present day me at age 65. Oh to be young again..... NAH!
