Glen,

You certainly have an attractive machine with that horn. Thanks for posting that. Is that horn origninal or was it redone by Janine Smith? In either case, very nice.

Tobia,

Your suggestion for Marek could be a good one, to buy a whole case which includes the missing parts. I had to do that with my Victor E some time back after looking what seemed like forever for the missing parts.

Hope these pictures help. For some reason my last post had me as a "guest" although I had registered - never mind... The brake pad fell out recently and my replacement was too small...so the search goes on.

Regards, Glenn.

Something is wrong with your celluloid disc. An original one is pictured here (I took it from the Logo Transparencies thread):

that celluloid tag is fantastic. thanks for posting it here. Now my search starts for one of those. (I always thought mine was not quite right, but I wanted to show that the brake was not meant to go where the recording angel goes on these machines).

Here are some pictures of the brake mechanism. My brake pad fell out a few days ago and must have been picked up by the vacuum cleaner as I can't find it anywhere. The replacement one I had was too small, so the search is on for that part as well.

As your machine was sold pre 1908, you should also look out for the correct Exhibition soundbox, labelled "Gramophone & Typewriter Ltd."

Greg Cline can make transfers for the celluloid tags. I believe all he needs is a very good photo and the exact size. Jerry Blais

I forgot to answer a previous question about the horn. I don't know who repainted it - it was like that when I bought it in New York.

Hi Folks,

just wondering if anyone had a high resolution picture of the Recording Angel Celluloid Tag as shown in Starkton's post, above?

I've contacted Gregg Cline to get a new one for my machine, but he needs a higher res version.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards, Glenn. (glenn at glennamer.com)

Glen,

Did he describe how he would do it? He can actually make a celluloid tag? Wow.

I'm sure someone will come up with a high res pic for you. If not on this thread, then start a new thread specificically asking in the title may help.
