Yikes, thanks for the find, but I don't think I'm willing (or capable) to pay that kind of money. Too bad, it would be wonderful to own. Perhaps a more reasonable one will show up on ebay or somewhere one day.

Several months ago I was able to buy a reasonably priced copy of this item on eBay. I have not yet played the actual record, as I do not have a modern-style turntable with a proper stylus. I've not played the video because it is on a cassette, and I don't have an operational one of those players. I have, however, played the hang out of the CD. Mine has 11 tracks on it: 5 of Pagliacio Non Son ( which I don't particularly care for) and 6 of Musica Proibita (which I love). You can hear a very light background hiss, but it is easily ignored. Since the accompaniment is piano, the recording does not generally make the acoustic process obvious. I think the sound quality is very good. Of the 6 Musica tracks, 4 are tenor solo, 1 is tenor and soprano duet, and the final track is female voice only. There are a couple of loud passages in the duet that sound as though the acoustic process is being pushed to its limits, but there is no blasting. It is a very enjoyable CD, especially considering the special circumstances under which it was made.
