This is a great record. Popular Japanese music from the 30s-40s is well worth a listen. Most of it emulated western music but did so with a distinctly Japanese edge - a weird mash up of music types. This particular record seems to be in a sort of hawaiian style. Quite odd and a total banger

I thought this was interesting - it' an instrument I've never heard of of or seen before.
