Very nice find. Rigid Arm Victors are very rare. I am wondering if the turntable spindle is bent. The turntable almost touches the case on one side. I have restored several of the elbows. You can search my posts about it. Your E has the fiber gear that drives the governor. Hopefully the teeth are in good shape.

How many empty small screw holes are in the top board for the brake, two or four?

The Concert reproducer is a difficult one to rebuild... it should be sent to someone that is familiar with its disassembly and restoration, like Wyatt Markus. Don't substitute another type of brake, you need to find the early two hole brake as shown. If you decide to do anything with the brass elbow, contact Ken Brekke for information. They are subject to breakage in the bend - whatever you do, don't try to straighten it yourself. If you screw it up, good luck finding another one, it took me 13 years to find one and it cost $500.

As for the elbow, I've heard that people who repair brass instruments are capable of such repairs.

The brake screw centers are ¾" apart. Also, here are the pictures of the motorboard latch and plate.

I have 2 of these E Rigid Arm machines and they are just a little over 1000 serial numbers apart, one in the 29,xxx and the other 30,xxx. One of them is all original with the correct horn (blue background on the decal), the other has a front mount horn and a newer replacement elbow. Both have a bullet style brake that only utilize 2 mounting screws. There are no signs of ever having 4 holes and no reason to think they had the twist style brake. I'm attaching a few pics. I also think that John Duffy might be able to fix your elbow. Paul Baker rebuilt my Concert reproducer and it sounds great. Good luck with your restoration. I would look for another cabinet rather than attempt repairing all of the crank holes. What is the serial number on yours, and is the paper label still on the bottom? If so what is the price? I believe that the Rigid Arm model sold for $30 while the front mount was $25. Have fun! Joe
