Here’s ghost Nipper. He has multiple coats of Krylon Colormaxx paint and primer and the color is "Satin Almond." It took nearly two full rattle cans. Next comes the features.

I use acrylics for the features. Nipper even got a pedicure. I signed and dated Nipper on the underside of one foot. The last step will be to apply a satin clear coat which will give all the paint a uniform appearance.

Nippers led a tough life. Most were used as a form of outdoor advertising. They were placed outside where kids climbed on them or tipped them over. On a rainy day Nipper probably got wet before being rescued and brought inside. Most Nippers show signs of repair and repainting and this dog was no exception. My goal was not to make Nipper perfect because he never was. He was a utilitarian item that was probably never intended to last so many decades. My repairs were intended to replicate the quality of repairs made when Nipper was a sidewalk fixture.

Hello there Jerry! Well, I am very impressed-and you did it all in such a short time! I would be very pleased if it was a restoration that I had done. I know we all use that hackneyed statement "WELL DONE!"-but that is exactly the right thing to say, so "WELL DONE JERRY B!"
Alastair.

Very nice job. You are much further along than I am. Mine is standing on all four now, but far from complete.

Jerry,

Another fabulous restoration by "The Nipper expert", Jerry, you always

do great work and Nipper is OUTSTANDING as usual. Can you share what was your light weight fibrous material

exactly? I have used different types and some seem to work better than others.

All the best,

David & Lerria
