Thanks to Gregg Cline's recent posting of the Stanton Auction, I was pleasantly surprised to find that an Eldridge Johnson Monarch sold for $4400. From private correspondence, I learned that the machine was sold with a New Century reproducer.
It was always my impression the the Concert was the correct reproducer for this machine. My EJ M has a Concert and I was told that my machine is original and untouched.
What is the correct reproducer for an Eldridge Johnson M?
How do I get in touch with the second highest bidder from the Stanton Auction?

LOL, I dont think Stanton offers second chance type deals, or illegally give away underbidders personal details, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you put your machine in their next auction

John, The "New Century" is very rare and correct. This would be one reason the machine did well on the sales floor.However,the concert too would be considered a correct up-grade also.Since the "NC" was made for a very short time they are just not around. I also see that a Monarch with a rigid arm just sold on Ebay for over 4K. As I have said time and time again.......The quaity pieces will always have buyers

I was wondering if you have any type of photo-editing software that would have allowed you to rotate your photos so we wouldn't have to pick up our monitors and hold them side-ways to see the photos correctly?

Yes, I certainly do have Adobe CS5, etc., and the photos were portrait format when I took them, but for some reason the images oriented themselves that way when I posted them. Sorry that bothers you -- it bothers me, too!

Did all ERJ Monarchs end up with a cracked motor board? I see the examples shown here seem to have, as well as the one I just bought.
Glad to hear of the New Century reproducer's rarity since I'm the fool who bought the machine at Stanton's. It is a very clean, very original machine and actually plays very well. The NC reproducer sounds much better than a Concert. More akin to an Exhibition, which it strongly resembles.

The New Century did become the exhibition. Thats why it was only used for a very short time. Congrats on getting your machine. I would like to know what that "repro??" Berliner hand wind went for. The one without the box.
