Today I made a latch which holds the arm nicely in place! Tried a record and the arm seems so heavy
It tore the record up and stalled the turntable Sorry Pat Boone, ha ha Is there a solution for this ?? New medium needle on

A Pat Boone record is way to late for a machine like this. It is probably made from Vinyl which is too soft for such a heavy reproducer and tonearm. Try it with a real shellac record from the 1920s and see if it works.

Nice repair on the tonearm clip.
