iirc it's a fireside B that has 2-4 gearing for some reason.
That's interesting but then nothing surprises me about the Edison company.

I've been mainly using PLA for the 3d printed soundboxes that I have been experimenting with. PLA is harder than ABS (but more brittle). The weight will be lower than Aluminium (and even less if the part is not printed solid) but, based on my sounbox experience, I doubt there will be any impact on the sound quality.

but does anyone know where I could get an aluminum one and how much it might cost?
