Very nice maybe a little bit of cleaning is needed on the cabinet and lid to bring it back to life.

Thanks! I agree it could use some Kotton Klenser treatment to help
brighten up the oak. The reproducer is out for servicing so this will
be a good time to do some detail work on the box.

Just be sure when you clean it, don't remove the green dye. That's original [changed to antique oak in 1906, if I remember correctly]. :)

So they put a green dye to "antique" the oak? Sounds like I should perhaps avoid
using 0000 steel wool like I normally would.
