Thanks Bruce. I was trying to locate that thread. You posted a wonderful paper label that Victor placed on the horn explaining why the correct horn (paper mache) was temporarily out of stock owing to conflict. So cool in my opinion.
Even mighty Victor could be disrupted by global events....
This Ebay listing does make me wonder if in fact Victor used up remaining horn stock on lesser models once they were able to secure supply of the correct horn again....? Yet, I have seen no mention of such an offer in their catalogs or advertisements regarding this.
She may not be the prettiest horn Victor made, but rare none the less.

I wonder the same Wayne but who knows. The problem with the horn I have with the paper label is that I'm afraid to use it. I only put it on a machine once to take those pictures. I'm afraid of further damage to the label.
Btw, the label, very hard to read in the photo says, "This horn may be exchanged without charge for the Japanese horn with which the machine should be equipped but which is out of stock owing to the Japanese-Russian war."
