Hi Will: After about ten minutes of Googling, I think I came up with something.

Thank you all for your descriptive help over this problem! I appreciate the time that you have all taken to look into this for me; fortunately that one arm that George had messaged me over looks to be the right arm. I will attach a photograph incase anybody has the problem in the future; it seems that the two different styles of the arms have a different length for the main part, excluding the pivot component. The new arm's autostop "arm" seems to be much closer to the base when compared to the longer arm.

When you get your new tonearm, please take a picture of the two side by side for comparison. I think it would be very helpful.
