Thanks for all the help! built the jig, followed directions-taped up the tone arm with blue tape to keep from scratching it. Prayed to the Gods, blessed my children, second time was the charm. and all is good in that area...but the Credenza must be cursed or is trying to get even for being put off for so long, see new topic
