Whatever it is, it has been together for a long long time. I thought that the characters on the decal were Russian or someplace in Eastern Europe.
Case is very well made with all the inlay design work. Where ever it was made this little guy looks great in my small collection of machines.
Purchased it from a friend a few years ago and he purchased it from an Sunday antique market about 10 years earlier so no history on the machine.

Yes, looking at the other photos makes me think it may be a bona fide machine! The cases of the Russian-made Pathés bear little resemblance to their counterparts made in France, and as everything Pathé their documentation is practically non-existent. So hold on to your machine as you may find an old ad from the period or even another machine that shows it to be genuine!
