A 1916 Victrola VVII finally finished and restored.

So the casters are new with Mohawk brass lacquer on them ?
Is that a coloured lacquer to make it look like gold/brass or a clear meant for brass ?

I have never seen original gold plated casters in good shape, same with the edge of the turntable.

The caster rings are cleaned and put on my bench polisher and get brass lacquer. The replacement casters are chrome housing, i brush the chrome on the bench grinder and spray with Design Master 24kt paint. If i could find gold plated new casters with rubber wheels and bearings like these, that would be great but i have searched, no luck.
Restoring the old Feltoid casters would be nearly impossible, they are always flat on one side and not worth the trouble in my opinion. The turntable i remove felt, sand top with 180 rotarary sander, wash the whole thing and clean edge with 0000 steel wool and dawn soap.
