It looks to me like a piece of good quality homework around a Columbia portable. Still absolutely hideous, but far better than all the crapophones offered on the net. It has a decent arm at least.
I would like to see and hear a good HMV model 32 though. Rare as hell, but said to have great sound. I know of only one in existence with an over-restored case, non-original arm (off a 101, i.e. too long and not tracking correctly) and not in good working order, that I saw years ago in a shop in Hilversum. Afaik he sold it to a Japanese collector for a lot of money.

You know the sad part is is that people buy these thinking that are originals
they need to put in the description that it's not original but fake
eBay shouldn't allow that crap to sell on there

O, but it is velly velly oliginal. The old lubbish was made in the thousands, but this one is quite unique. Just like a newly made Van Gogh. "You've never seen his sunflowers shine like these and with all details correct, unlike the rubbish he made all those years ago". /Sarcasm off.
