I took some time to clean up the hardware with some Brasso and cleaned the inside with some Gojo and Kramer’s antique improver.

Now the flange is stuck onto the reproducer gooseneck. I’m sure some of you has come across this issue. So how can I get that bit of reproducer off the tonearm without damaging it?
Or should I get a different one from ebay or Yankee Trader?

The next thing I noticed while it does crank the motor, I think the crank it came with was not an original. It just doesn’t feel right because it’s a space around the crank and escutcheon, like it should be a little bit fatter. Also a bit of a pain in the butt to get on the shaft correctly I’d figure an original would be larger and easier to put on.

Also the bullet brake doesn’t have a pad on it either.

Just a few minor things. If that bit of reproducer flange wasn’t stuck on I could easily play records on it today! Thankfully there’s Not as many issues with this one compared the two previous Edison machines that got almost 20 pages of threads of me being frustrated!

You should be able to work the flange free. The part is irregular enough that you should be able to carefully grab it with pliers and work it free.

Regarding the crank, I think that the issue is the escutcheon. It looks like the center of it is missing.
