Victor Motor ID help please...

Here is my Victor VI, serial number 600. I also have a late Victor V with a drop in elbow that has a yielding turntable.

As I thought, yours has the earlier motor. The same that was in my Vic 6 (ser 1212)-

Brad, I have never seen an early V or square case D with a yielding turntable, however (and evidenced by Ken's mention of a Vic V WITH DROP IN ELBOW) I have seen and owned LATER Victor V with yielding turntable, it had drop in elbow and bumpers on the motor board. I am fairly certain that is an undocumented use of the motor. It is less common motor but often found on a late V.

Your motor with a slip on crank must be approx 1907 and used in either a VTLA or VI. The real trivia point to strive for now is if Matt could measure the length of the shaft from the pin to motor and compare that length to a VTLA measuring the same (pin to motor). If identical - the motor is a direct replacement for either, if one is longer than the other it would then identify exactly what model your motor came FROM.

All you need to do is find an owner of a VTLA with slip on crank with a non-nickel plated motor to help with the measurement. And Matt to make his measurement. Your getting close! John

Hey Matt- Can you measure your motor as John suggests??

Does anyone have a later VTLA with the motor in the original post that can measure shaft length and distance to case?

The shaft on my motor, from the casting to the end of the shaft, measures 1 ¾"
