I received a similar email from the same person saying he has a turntable for a Victor M. Haven't asked for pictures yet. He keeps asking for my cellphone number, and says he wants payment via western union or money gram.....

:?

Episode 2:

So, he just emailed me again, offering to come down in price (apparently to about $50 US), saying that he'd been intending it for a "Japanese collector" who's been "bothering him for parts".

I gave him suggestions for uploading a photo again, or at least for some precise measurements on the shaft - to (um) make sure it fits.......

Stay tuned for our next exciting episode!

LOL, so he'll charge a Japanese collector 5 times the price? What a guy!
You should tell him you're a Japanese collector visiting relatives in USA
This guy should have his own website- lowlifescum.com

Just a little follow up. I asked the guy for pictures and the measurement of the hole for the spindle, to make sure it was the right one (as I would for anyone...little did I know that the turntables for the Vic M and III are not the same, until I purchased a Vic III turntable). Four days, and not a peep out of him.
