Does anyone recall the 70's film The Phantom of the Paradise in which Paul Williams plays the demented composer/Phantom whose face was mangled in a record press?

I hadn’t even heard of it, although I just looked it up on IMDb. Do you recommend watching it?

Certainly, Hollywood does not want for remakes of The Phantom of the Opera. I can’t imagine many films have record press-related injuries, though.

It's pretty campy and over-the-top, and one has to be able to tolerate the sight of Paul Williams (ugh), but sure it is watchable I guess. My memory of it in detail is a little hazy as it was typiically shown as a 'Midnight Movie", IOW., "if you can remember the 70's, you weren't there". LOL! John M.
