Yes, he's gone for good. As to why, you'd have to contact him and ask him directly but I believe it might have had something to do with the Climate Change topic in the main forum and some abstract stupidity displayed in that thread. I have attempted to contact him to persuade him to return but I haven't received a reply yet.

I wondered if he'd been upset or provoked by someone in particular but I can't see any obvious reference in the thread, unless it was sent as a private message, of course?

This forum has lost a lot of people over the past few years due to the perceived lack of organisation and ensuing silliness displayed here and there. It is a shame as I had personal contact with many US collectors I've been in touch with for over 15 years and now they've all but vanished without a trace.

Thank you Steve. Sorry to read all of this, but happy that he's still walking the Earth. Many of us, myself definitely included, have taken our turns at stupidity. We all have our bad days and sometimes, unfortunately, we share them with others. Hopefully he will give us another chance after some time has elapsed. I really believe we're all basically good people here... but we're not perfect.

I too have sent him a message, asking him to reconsider. Awaiting a reply.
