Rough? I think he might have lacked velvet fingers but I wouldn't say "rough" by any standards. If you want to feel the pain a gramophone is experiencing, just watch the videos of the guy in Bedfordshire who sells on Ebay frequently. Now he is brutal. How anything stays in one piece with him must be solely down to good fortune, not any care paid to the fragility of some of these items. His videos make me wince.

Here's one such example. I should point out that no physical harm was actually caused to the gramophone during the making of this video. I can testify to this fact as I am now the owner of the machine proving that some Victor's are borderline indestructible!

(This is one of the least savage videos I've seen from this seller too)
