So yesterday I had a sound check in the local pub. Loaded up a few shellacks and needles, loud one and quiet ones, put the 102 in a carrier bag and trudged though snow and ice to the warmth of the pub.
Not a lot of people around but enough to get a feel, as it were.
I span up the 102, put Jeepers Creepers on the spinny thing and let it do it´s stuff.
It sounded great and eventhough it is a rather big room it was loud enough even with quiet needles to be heard. Turned the record round to "Just a Kid named Joe" and saw that some of the older people had a look of surprise on their faces but for most part the patrons looked annoyed. As in how dare I do something unexpected, one woman even came up and told me rather waspishly to turn it down as they were trying to eat their meal in peace.
So that was the end of that.
