Phonograph Guy,
I would highly recommend joining the APS. There is a LOT of information and support for this hobby there.
Welcome to the hobby. Where are you located?

APS is the Antique Phonograph Society. There's also a forum there as well. He's most likely asking your location because you're considering buying an Edison Standard. They are heavy and expensive to ship, so if you're local to anyone who'd like to see you get one, being close to you will help. I'm guessing that you are a minor, so being leery about giving your location is generally wise. (No reflection on anyone on this forum. Just good general advice.) If you're comfortable with it, you could just say "Northern Ohio", or "South Florida", or ???

Yes, I was just asking for a location so maybe someone on this Forum would offer you a phonograph. If you were in Central Wisconsin, I would have one for you. I have given several phonographs to new phonograph enthusiasts.

Congratulations on purchasing your combination home, which reproducer(s) were included?

The Edison Cylinder Phonograph book by author Frow is available in electronic form from Mulholland Press for only $14.95. It has the most up-to-date information and is highly recommended!
