Yep, I agree 100%. My example was only to illustrate the depressed hobby numbers we are now dealing with. Sign of the times and even high end machines are taking a hit but they are an entirely different animal as your example shows but still troublesome. I would always be willing to discount a machine 15% - 20% to a hobbyist then donate to Ebay but for me it's not a business.. Ebay does certainly make it easy as you state but I always try alternative options first.. TMF, Marketplace, FB Groups and shows.
Many auction houses are whores IMO but they are the fastest and easiest way to liquidate a collection... it is what it is but I no longer trust them.
