If only I wasn't in college! An ambitious me says this is doable and would totally make the border crossings to check out the collection and make some offers...
"Doable" is a relative term. It's almost 3,000 miles and a 42+ hour drive from Purcellville to Surrey, BC one way. Even if they were free, the cost of gas, food and lodging, not to mention driving for more than a week would be insane. Then storing them without collapsing your house or apartment would be the next problem. The bigger the volume of unknown records the less they are worth, unless half of them were Paramounts and Black Pattis.

Buzz-kill, dude!
Let the young guy dream, even if it is an unrealistic dream. The hobby needs more young people.

Oops... I forgot to mention that prior to coming here for college I lived WAY closer to the Canada-Washington border crossing... Yes, from VA, making that trip would be a logistic nightmare!

Just a reality check... don't overthink this and over react...
There is no intent to discourage young people or keep anyone from "dreaming".
I don't know how you read that into my comment.
I have a dream - I need 5-10,000 common 78s, especially Harry Lauder... NOT.
