I don’t understand how having the upper part of the the crane will help me. Don’t I need the lower part also?

Sorry - I'm probably guilty of using imprecise "collector's vernacular" to describe what you need. Here's what I meant by "upper part" as opposed to the rest of the crane:

You need the part marked in blue.

You are 100% correct! Tim Has the exact crane And He is shipping it out to me. After I get it, I still have to decide which horn to purchase. You have been a great help to me!! Thank you!

Glad to help. As I wrote earlier, a show will be your best and most cost-effective avenue to obtaining a horn.

Hi! I got the crane from Tim. I’ll send you some pictures of a horn that I already have. ImI’d like to have your opinion if you think it would work. With some kind of a 45° adapter possibly.

				George:
Hello again! Thank you for your great help in the past. We just visited the Thomas Edison museum in New Jersey and I was impressed how the sound was loud and clear. I have never gotten any sound from my system. I've attached some pictures of the reproducer. I assume I need to get a new one. Can you please direct me?
Thanks
Howard

				Howard,
I'm sorry to learn you're having trouble with your Diamond B Reproducer. It's impossible to be sure from the images you posted, but it appears the linkage may be disconnected from the diaphragm.
I'd recommend sending it to Wyatt Markus:
[email protected].
I've had serious difficulty logging onto this forum for a couple of weeks. If you need more feedback from me, I suggest using the APS Forum:

Best of luck!

George!! Thank you so much for you time!!! It really is appreciated! I sent an email to one of the vendors asking for a crave. I have been speaking with Tim Fabrizio and he recommended drilling new mounts which I don’t want to do.

It’s not like it’s a rare model. I would install a cygnet bracket and crane since the machine has already been modified with a horizontal carriage, which is VERY appropriate for a cygnet. It won’t devalue the machine one cent. Horizontal carriages with straight crane-mounted horns look horsey imho, and as George P pointed-out, a cygnet saves room and allows much easier access to the machine when playing it.
