Prices are completely different here in Oz, but Jolsons Brunswick recordings usually sell for $4 or $5, while the later Decca recordings (mostly from the Jolson movies about his life) sell for $1 or $2.
I still haven't found the early Brunnie recording of California, but I think I've got 4 or 5 copies on Decca. They're extremely common here.

How about Jolie on a black "patents label" Victor? :coffee:
Actually, I wouldn't have a clue what these would sell for here, as I've never seen one offered.
I dont even know whether HMV pressed any copies in the UK?? I kind of doubt they would have unless the recordings were pretty big hits, but if they did, I've never seen one.

I was kind of surprised to find it myself Shane... it was among the reords that came with my 1909 L-door...

"The Spaniard who blighted my life" is on one side, which I know was an early Jolson hit; don't remember what was on the other side...

Believe it's a later "patents" label, from around 1912.
