I'm going to drift this thread unapologetically - here's a wonderfully, gloriously dreadful 78: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlVCkjmTXrY
Funnily enough (also drifting this thread) I think about this song when older generations complain about my generations music being so bad (I'm a millennial).

Nearly Anything with the word “Mother” in the title is bound to be as dull as dishwater.

Come on, Captain Baby Bunting isn’t THAT terrible… when it is compared to punk music!

Anything with the word "Mammy" in the title is bound to be even worse.

Although I'll grant you, if it's as awful in the cylinder account https://www.discogs.com/release/1795102 ... bDZ1A3elEu as it is on a Victor disk, Alan Tours's "Mother o' Mine" bids fair to trump even the worst of the Mammy songs. Even Emilio de Gogorza, a master at selling dubious songs, couldn't salvage that one. (A shame, because it is the first of two songs on the record, and the other, "The Lark Now Leaves its Wat'ry Nest," is a pure delight.)

For sheer bad taste, 'The Colored Recruits' (a vaudeville sketch, but includes a song) is pretty hard to beat.

Makes me think of Dorothy Parker's review (as 'Constant Reader') of A.A. Milne's verses:
"Tonstant Weader fwowed up." :-P

"Santa Claus Hides in Your Phonograph" Sounds more like something from a Freddy Krueger movie.
