Thanks for the information George. Were there shorter boxes for these? None of the boxes with these records were shorter.

Ken, I've never seen shorter boxes, but I suppose it's possible - however improbable.

The odds of finding something in an antique store are almost nil, but it can happen. I found a brass Victor orthophonic reproducer on a junk portable once about eight years ago. 20 bucks.

No, I don't look all day and/or online. After more than 40 years collecting and restoring old phonographs, things sometime find me. I have given away several phonographs over the years and countless parts to other collectors. Sometimes a good will gesture gets returned.

Well stated Ken. I don't know you very well, but I know you are highly spoken of. Good things sometimes come to good people.

What an amazing haul!!! Horn alone is in great shape, everything else is just the bonus of a lifetime! If you ever get the time, I'd love to see what that gold looking box says on it up close. I just wonder if it's phonograph or reproducer specific or just some box used to store a random part. Great job, Ken!
