What's the background on the "US" one? I've never heard anything about those before.

The US Phonograph Company of Cleveland, Ohio got into the game late. They are responsible for the US Everlasting Records. They fizzled out in a couple of years as the disc phonographs were gaining favor and taking over the marketplace. The machines are fairly obscure especially those which are still in good working order.
