Consider it education... just in case you find one for $50. I look at plenty of machines that I can't afford to buy or wouldn't spend the money on if I could.

Not to rub it in, but my wife found one for just $55 a couple of months back. All it needed was a good cleaning and a repair to one gear.

I write this in part to brag about my good fortune but also to encourage you with real-life stories about phonographs in the wild.

Andy, my mom flipped when my dad considered buying a $62 Tokio Record- if he bought something that much he'd be in as much trouble as you!! :lol:
