My presumption is that the "VICTOR" markings in the runout was a short-lived attempt to prevent record piracy.

This post made me check my two 7-inch victors on the same label, & I found that they have the same marking, but placed underneath the end of the company name instead of on top. Maybe due to the fact its a smaller label? I assume it means the same, but interesting to me none-the-less.
