The modern, non-wax, hard type records are a trade secret of Wizard and Vulcan, so I am not at liberty to say anything, more, as I would not want to discourage them from making those fine products, There wearing qualities are remarkable, and had Edison made cylinders like that, from the start, the disc record would of been dead before it even got off the ground! All I can say is that the molds are made like the Blue Amberol master molds were made, in Ron D's book on Blue Amberols 1912-14. It is a metallic mold made from a wax master cylinder through an electrotyping process. I was entrusted with the particular matters, of the manufacture of the master cylinders, and I am not at liberty to share.
