Very interesting, I thought I listened to the entire record and it was piano only, no vocals. I'll make sure tomorrow (the record and C19 are in 2 different places right now).

This is German selection by Fritz Feinhals, Lied an den Abendstern from Tannhäuser (Wagner). Your suspicion was right, this recording was never issued. Such test pressings are the real good ones, congrats!
Funny this is, that most people pronouce Tannhäuser incorrectly as "hauser" while it is better spoken like "heuser".
Well I listened to the entire record and unless my ears are shot this is strictly a piano solo, no singing. It is possible that the selection is from Tannhauser. It sounds like it could be Wagner, but I'm not up on all the operas.

Thanks to Valecniks latest post, I discovered the excel sheet with DD matrix #'s. 2571 is listed as a Nov. 1913 recording in NYC with the only note "experimental", Interesting!

Sorry for the mess, my mistake. I mixed the mx numbers, it is indeed only listed as experimental.
