Grandfather clocks were produced with radios, too. So why wouldn't we expect talking machines as well?

I would think this (or one similar) would be real due to the immense competition seen in the phono market in the 1920s. We see a ton of "weird" record player contractions from smaller companies of the time.

Has anyone seen one of these clock phonographs. I have seen quite a few clock radios??? Tom
