I almost bid on that Mag-Ni-Phone but I thought the base of the tonearm looked broken - I could be wrong.

The arm is intact and unbroken - I'll post pictures of all the pieces.

Here are some pictures- I'm having troubles here (new computer, windows 8, can't set my camera up as it was) but here's a try. This arm is brass tubing in two pieces- you take it apart and reassemble it differently to play vertical cut records, but there must have been an adapter as the reproducer can't be put in the right orientation.

The tone arm base has a little rod (missing on mine, I've used a stick) that goes through a slot in the top of the base - the bottom bearing is spring loaded. It looks as if the arm was easily removed for transport. These pics won't be in any order, sorry.

It is a flimsy arm, and if I swing it too far to the left the spring will pop it out of the base - this probably contributed to many being lost.

Giving the reproducer a close look I've found out how it played vertical cut records in a face down position - there is a broken off stump of a sapphire ball stylus in the center of the needle chuck screw!
