I believe in the case of the Orlando show, it is still taking place in the same community, so that shouldn't have any effect on the parking lot sale. However, arrangements with the hotel could be the reason. As I said before, show management could explain themselves, although I guess they don't owe anyone an explanation of their policies. Still, it would be nice to know the reasoning behind these changes.

As I said in my last post, I spoke with the Orlando show organizers, and the price of the rooms more than doubled at The Holiday Inn.
That is why they switched to the Rodeway INN down south on the same road. I would think that is where the Orlando show will be held from now on, which will be just fine, Now that most people know where it is now. I drove by the Rodeway INN 4 times before I found it, The place was almost invisible.

I think shows are great. Let's say you are looking for your first Victor horn machine and your collector friends have suggested a Victor II or III. At Union you should have probably fifteen Victor II's or III's to choose from. You will get good value for your dollar because sellers must be competitive to make a sale. Unlike ebay, you can really inspect a machine and ask questions. If you are out of your area of expertise, you can ask a friend for an opinion. If you're a bargain hunter, stay until Sunday when people are packing and make some offers. You'd be surprised at what you might be able to buy. I don't care if you collect records, advertising, machines, smalls, paper, etc, you'll find good things at a show. As a long time seller, I have always enjoyed visiting with people and answering questions. I always take items that I'm proud to sell and I try to give buyers a good value. Jerry Blais
