No Jerry, I did not get this one, but I almost did. It was up for several days not 24 hrs as noted. The seller said if i could beat the $600 offered, I could have it. This was the machine I had asked you about picking up for me in Lincoln NE. I just did not want to risk shipping it his way with only bubblewrap protecting the finish. He sent me a few additional photos of the damage to the upper sound door and it appeared to need some considerably repair. No reproducer, tonearm was toast, correct crank escutcheon missing, no casters, etc. I know all small items to fix or replace but they all add up. Besides, I've got my hands full with this Special Finish XVII I just got but I have always wanted one in oak and I am sure I'll find one someday. Wes

Wes,

It was a 3 day listing that began sometime on Tuesday evening / night. Might have been up for about 30 hours, but it wasn't long!

If I had not recently picked up this Special Finish XVII I would have probably made that offer. Wes

If I hadn't picked up my special oak L-door, an XVIII, a W-250 and an EMG in the last few months, I would have too!

Anyway, it would have been a nice addition, but I'm outta space!

How was the seller going to ship a big Victrola for $150? It's too big for UPS or FedEx. Will an over the road common carrier haul and deliver for $150? Jerry Blais

He said it was by forward ship Fedex. Bubblewrapped, cardboard and then shrinkwrap on top. Seemed like a disaster waiting to happen so I decided not to go there. Jerry, If you could have picked it up, I might have been singing the XVII blues. I do hope it is going to a good home. It does deserve to be brought back to it's former glory. If someone here got it, let us know if it arrives in one piece.
