I just played an Edison DD record on my Credenza using the Claravox. It sounded pretty good, not alot of bass response. High notes were reproduced pretty well. All in all a nice play but definately not compareable to the Credenza as it was intended to be used, in my opinion.

I have a Vicsonia which is very similar to the Claravox. A few of us collectors here have compared the sound quality and it was thought the Claravox sounded better.
They are on ebay occassionaly. The Vicsonia seems to be the more common of the two.

Here is an update to this old thread -

There is a difference between the Bush & Lane and the Claravox reproducers. The connector tube on the back plate of the reproducer is in line with the needle bar on the Bush & Lane version, the Claravox reproducer back is installed rotated 90 degrees from the needle bar to accommodate installation on the Victor style tone arms.

Sure would like to find a Claravox for my Victrola!
