Beauty is all in the eye of the holder, but I think it is fair to say that most collectors do not like factory shiny new and that having such a shiny new finish will reduce the value of the machine by up to half.

What I do when everything is all clean is apply a little of Kotton Klenser’s lemon oil and bees wax polish or something like Briwax Sheradale Antique Wax Polish. (No doubt others here will also have their favorites.)

Avoid any furniture polish that has silicon in it.

Also Victor did not use lacquer until the Orthophonic machines came out. I would avoid it on earlier machines like the plague.

As a general inquiry to the board, I have been using Kotton Klenser and am usually pretty satisfied with the result. For those who have tried both, how do your results compare using Kotton Klenser vs. GoJo?

Also, re GoJo, which of the numerous types of GoJo hand cleaner do you use?

As per my think you can use both of products to get satisfied result. I have good experience of using these two products and you can also prefer to use it. I am not use any hand cleaner but common hand-wash soap is enough for me.
