When you get that Radiola 28 working you'll be surprised at how peppy it is. I will never forget when my cousin and I first got a Radiola VIII cooking for the first time. We were both amazed. And we were also amazed at the amount of fussing necessary to service the " catacomb" circuit that is the trademark of the Radiola Supers. You'll see inside what looks like a can into which the tubes insert. That's the infamous " cat" .
RCA didn't want the local service man mucking with it: they recommended sending it back to the factory for repair, an option which hasn't existed since about 1932.
