I stumbled across some photos I took for an article on the A-80/B-80 that appeared several years ago in The Sound Box. These photos show the differences between the motors, and the B-80 photo shows the original belt. The photos should also clearly demonstrate that these motors were not derivatives of cylinder Phonograph design.
