Here's the machine out on the front porch, complete with neighborhood noise. The camera mic makes it seem much louder and distorted than it really is, but I'm not going to go through uploading another video just yet. The machine has a few shortcomings - the tone arm design has sound leaks - but I like it.

Nice score. I have a Silvertone (love the purple platter). I think they offered some really good looking machines.

Not quite up to Victor standards, but good value.

Very nice machine. I now have two Silvertones, both with oak cases, and along with my many "off-brand" machines, I prefer them (all) over the much easier to find much more common Victor Victrolas. Not that I don't like Victrolas (a have a few too), but just think of how many Victors were manufactured in Camden compared to your Sivertone, or my Mag-Ni-Phone, or even the Harmograph Talking Machine that kerryjo0514 posted a while back. I love that Harmograph machine he pictured on his post. I would buy any decent off-brand machine over a Victrola any day of the week. But that's just me.

If I had the room I'd have a few more high end Victrolas, but as it is I've just got a few for playing, and the odd off-brand machines for pleasure. I do like my Silvertone, but my HMV 109 table model actually does out perform it. If I want to listen to my good electrics I use a Credenza.

That table machine of yours is a quirky charmer.
