If Slayton is successful, and the machine could work its way to me, I would bring it to Union at no charge. Maybe one of our Canadian friends could pick it up and help work its way south. If I get it to Union, could someone help from there? Jerry Blais

Not to burst anyone's bubble but.....a man that lives about 30 minutes from the seller was sent this today from the seller:
"If i have one person that wins every auction they will get the cabinet then i will not brake up this gramophone. It will stay together. They will get the cabinet with everything."
I think he is now trying to create a bidding war. Too many got involved that did not even plan to bid and too much info given to the seller. I just hope it was not the down fall of this machine.

it all depends on what people are willing to bid and what tactics come into play, if slayton puts his maximum bid in at the last moment he should win it, my hopes go to slayton, no one wants to see it parted, lets hope the other person doesn't care about it as much as us!gramophone78 wrote:Not to burst anyone's bubble but.....a man that lives about 30 minutes from the seller was sent this today from the seller:

I hope Slayton wins all of the items. He is doing the hobby a great service by trying to get this machine as one piece.

I received a similar message from the seller after some back and forth about buying the whole machine...
IF SOMEONE WINS ALL THE AUCTIONS I HAVE ON THIS GRAMOPHONE. THEY WILL GET THE COMPLETE GRAMOPHONE. I WILL NOT PART IT OUT
No need, though, hopefully it ends up with the person everyone's been mentioning above. I wont be bidding at this point, under the circumstances. It would really be a crime for this machine to be broken up.

Kirtley,
It would not do any good to alter this
gentleman's outlook on life, nor his
reflection in the mirror.
Why? Because for every one of these maggots
that gets their "outlook changed", there are
ten more maggots under some rock nearby.
It is impossible to stop them.
This issue goes way way beyond just someone
being greedy and wanting all the money.
These maggots derive pleasure from destroying
things and making people uneasy.

Well, let's just hope this time the GOOD GUY wins - not the seller!
We're all rooting for you, Slayton - -

If Slayton gives the okay, I'll be happy to bring the III from Union to New York state for no charge.
