Schipa was another singer whose beauty of sound made up for his lack of raw power, and in duet with Galli-Curci their voices complement each other perfectly.
I can highly recommend "Schipa in Neapolitan Song" on Nimbus NI7887. His phrasing and musicianship are a joy to hear.
