No, this one was discovered sometime back in January. It had been altered to play with one reproducer rather than two on a standard size mandrel (not concert mandrel).

Have you had any development on this Polyphone carriage? Anxious to see the finished product...this will be one super machine when finished....Keep us posted..

I am looking forward as well to see the repaired carriage. The impossible takes a bit longer. Hopefully in April I will have a constructive update.

Hi George,

thanks for remembering - still not finished. The arm was heated and bent back to its original shape. Some filling was required as a wedge had been cut out to put in the acute bend. A piece was added under the 2nd reproducer holder to bring it back to its correct length, and luckily the original lift lever was still present so can be re-attached. I believe the next step is re-nickel, and then we should have it back together!

Are you doing the work yourself? I know that this project needed a skilled craftsman to make it happen...I too am anxious to see the finished product...this will be one standout phono. With a great story behind it...very glad that you have the skill to make it happen...
