I think it's very strange that you bring up Walt Bellm's Music and Cars of Yesterday because I think that is where all this started for me. I lived in Sarasota Fla when I was in the fourth grade and Bellm's was the neatest place to go. I think the seed was planted for me there early on and later on after I started collecting I was fortunate to attend the museums liquidation auction although most of the stuff was already sold. At least what was stored in the back rooms. Shelves and shelves of machines. I still have several items I purchased from that sale. I believe it was somewhere around 1995.

Kathy N Dave, what an amazing room you have for your Victors and Victrolas. Now that really is pride of ownership.

I wish others would post their phono rooms so we could see other collections. Hopefully bumping this thread will help with that.

I think I can speak for most people here when I say we are envious of your collection. :)

Great collection and nice display... One thing I have to warn you about is that it appears like you are becoming a little OCD on Victrolas... counseling will help. :)

On another note, have you considered what a phonograph actually cost in that time-frame? For example, for $200 in the 1920's you could have bought a 200 acre farm in the south... just sayin'...
