Is there any way to determine what serial number marked the beginning of the B80 model? The Frow book says the B80 was introduced in Feb, 1914 and that 5000 model (A)80 machines were ordered initially so I assume the B80 numbering would be greater than 5000?

A-80 production ended and B-80 production began somewhere between No.4219 and No.4968.

Finally got the motor to run like I hoped it would. At first, there was noticeable drag on the turntable, including a little 'bump' when the pulley tightening screw head hit the turntable base every time it went around. Finally figured I needed to lower the pulley a little on the spindle shaft. Duh! Not only did that take care of the 'bump' but it also freed up the turntable to spin with virtually no resistance at all. The result of this one little action made the usable play time on a single winding go from 1 side to almost 3 sides. Now when playing rotation starts to slow down, it is at the end of the winding. Thought I might have to change the spring, but now it plays strong all the way to the end! Very happy about that!
